Changing the Main Greeting

ACCESSING SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION OPTIONS VIA TELEPHONE
1. Call Courier.
2. Press the * key.
3. Enter the Administration Mailbox Number:
99 for Two Digit Mailboxes
999 for Three Digit Mailboxes
9999 for Four Digit Mailboxes
99999 for Five Digit Mailboxes
4. Enter System Master Password.
5. Select Desired Option:
Press 1 for Distribution List
2 for Information Only Mailboxes
3 for System Greeting Recording
4 for Pre-System Greeting Recording
5 for System Prompt Recording
6 for System File Maintenance
# Key to Exit

SYSTEM GREETING MAINTENANCE (3)
1. Call Courier from a touch-tone phone.
2. Press * during the Opening Greeting.
3. Press the administration mailbox number.
4. Enter the System Master Password.
5. Press 3 for System Greeting recording.
Note: Please enter the salutation number you wish to maintain. The number must be two digits long. Enter a zero in front of a single digit. Or, press the pound sign to exit.
6. Enter the salutation number.
7. The current System Greeting will begin playing.
8. Press 1 to hear the system greeting, 2 to record it, 3 to use as is.
9. To record, press 2. Begin recording at the tone and press the # sign when finished.

SYSTEM PROMPT RECORDING
1. To record a System Prompt, call Courier.
2. Press * during the Opening Greeting.
3. When prompted for a mailbox, enter 999.
4. When prompted for a password, enter the system Master Password. You will then be prompted with:
"Press 1 for Distribution List maintenance, 2 for Information Only mailboxes, 3 for System Greeting recording, 4 for pre-salutation recording, 5 for System Prompt recording, 6 for System File Maintenance, or a pound sign to exit."
5. Press 5 for System Prompt Recording. Courier prompts with:
"Enter the three-digit prompt number you want to re-record." The System Prompts are numbered. (See the System Prompt Listing in Appendix 2.)
6. Select the prompt you wish to re-record. Re-record the prompt, pressing the # sign when finished.
System Prompt files are stored in the c:\ata directory with a .wav extension. Note: Re-recording prompts can also be recorded professionally in a studio. The prompts should be recorded in the format 8KHz, 16 bit, mono. Once recorded, you may use the Greeting Utility (w/future Courier releases) to import the wav files.
